Silver brooch with sculpted faces of a the Sun and the Moon. It is a quite common interpretation of dualism between what is feminine and masculine, strength and gentleness, light and darkness and how they are dependend on each other, but also fulfill themselves. The brooch was made especially for Alan Cyprysiak’s video clip. The Moon is adorned with a synthetic sapphire and the Sun is adorned with a white zircon.

This bracelet was inspired by a picture of a „stellar nurcery” – a place in the universe, where stars are born. It’s a place with massive amount of gass and dust (basically a cloud). If the gravity of those will become significant enough to pull in the dust and gas from the cloud, then the material trapped by gravity will collapse into itself and form a sort of ball that will start to rotate. This is how a protostar is formed. It will gain more mass, rotate faster, achieve extremely high temperatures and start burning the hydrogen from the gas cloud and produce energy and – with time – other heavier elements from the periodic table. The star will finally explode and scatter all the elements around the space, from which everything in the universe was build. The whole process is very dynamic, hot, full of rotating movement, it is a process of pure destruction and creation.
I used bronze as a base for this bracelet and connected it with silver in a dynamic swirl. The silver took shapes of people being dynamically formed from a spinning dust cloud, but also almost on the edge of fading and being sucked back in it. I wanted to show the movement.
Only this short video shows how the bracelet really looks like: www.youtube.com/watch?v=bfiR76…;
About 50 white zircons and 28 pink sapphires were placed in the cracks between the silver/bronze “clouds” to symbolize stars. The back of the bracelet is lined with a soft leather, as the bracelet is quite heavy.
My name is Iwona Tamborska and I am the owner of Rękami Stworzone. Everything I do, is firstly created as a concept in my mind and after that, is created by my hands.
Such work gives me pleasure, which is noticible in my creations. They are a reflection of me: are creative, inventive, full of extremities, raw but precise, sometimes feminine and natural, but sometimes masculine with primitive charm. But they share one thing: they are not just jewellery. They always have a reason to be.
